Method

Ingredients

  • 2+ 3/4th cup besan flour.

  • 3 tbsp rice flour

  • 1.5 tsp green chilli paste.

  • 1/2 tsp hing.

  • 2 tsp sugar.

  • 2 tsp lemon.

  • salt as per taste. 

  • 1+1/4 tsp eno/ bakind soda/powder.

For tempering ;

  • Mustard seeds.

  • cold pressed oil.

  • Cumin seeds.

  • Curry leaves.

  • Asafoetida (optional).

  • Coriander leaves.

Directions

  • Add approx. 2 cups water + 2 tbsp lemons .......

  • Add the water slowly.

  • Keep aside for 20 mins.

  • Add 1+1/4 tsp eno and mix well.

  • Line the plate with oil and add the mixture to it.

  • Steam it for.... and check later if the knife comes out clean.

  • Remove from the steam.

Tempering: 

  • In a pan add cold pressed oil, mustard sleeps, cumin seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves and split chilli.

  • Evenly spread the tempering on the dhoklas.

  • Sprinkle some sesame seeds and chopped coriander leaves and serve with coconut chutney.
